The Challenge: 10-Minute Tidying Up!

I get it – we all have those "catch-all" spaces, the closets or spare rooms where things accumulate over time. Let's dedicate just 10 minutes to tidy up each room or space we spend the most time in, and yes, even those neglected catch-all spaces. We're in this together!


It's time to bid farewell to things that no longer spark joy. Take a moment to let go of items that have overstayed their welcome and find new homes for them. Decluttering isn't just about throwing things away; it's about creating space for things that truly matter.

Life's a rollercoaster, and how we manage our time can either make it a thrilling ride or leave us feeling stuck.

Time is a fascinating force, isn't it? Sometimes it zips by when we're caught up in joy, and other times it seems to crawl at a snail's pace during moments of pain or anticipation. Yet, no matter what, it keeps moving forward, and it's the energy that propels our lives.

But here's the magic trick – taking control of our time, and setting attainable goals to help focus where the time goes.

Yes there are moments we can't control and our goals have to shift for the moment. But, when we seize the reins of our day-to-day, remembering that our future is in our hands, life begins to feel like a grand adventure. It's about embracing the power to manage our time intentionally and make each moment count.

One strategy that has worked wonders for me is the art of creating macro and micro goal lists. Macro goals are the big dreams, the grand visions for our lives, or the things we must stay focued on to make progress.

Micro goals break those dreams into small, actionable tasks that we can tackle daily. It's like turning dreams into a roadmap for success.

This week, I'm throwing down a challenge – set three attainable goals that propel you towards your big life dreams. Break each of these goals into small, manageable tasks that help you get there. It's about taking those intentional steps that transform dreams into reality. #GoalCrushers"

My three goals are to make progress on my books, stay on top of preparations for Shine Online ( save the date for 2/22 to join me online if you haven't yet), and prioritize self-care. This weeks suggestion is to take a look at your eating habits.

As we embark on this week's journey towards healthier living, let's kick things off by creating a thoughtful grocery list and planning meals for the upcoming days!

The challenge is simple but transformative – aim to introduce at least one new, exciting meal to your routine.

Breaking away from the comfort of familiar dishes can be intimidating, but the reward lies in expanding your culinary horizons and treating your taste buds to a symphony of flavors.

Curious what my favorite thing is right now? It's this curry chickpea salad has become one of my go to quick healthy meals an dI try to keep everything on deck for when I need to make it next! Thanks to its simplicity and the fact that it requires no cooking devices it's perfect for those moments when you want a quick, nourishing meal without the hassle of turning on the oven. I often make extra for later, providing a convenient and healthy option during my creative bursts when I don't want to interrupt my art flow.

Recipe Deets: Curry Chickpea Salad Wrap:

Discover a delightful vegan twist on traditional curry chicken salad with this quick and easy recipe. The star ingredient? Chickpeas!

Mash hearty garbanzos with crisp scallion greens, plump golden raisins, vegan mayo, aromatic curry powder, and a splash of lemon juice. The result is a bright, luscious salad that perfectly complements lightly dressed spinach greens and tomatoes, all wrapped in an optional warm flour tortilla. (Feel free to skip heating the tortilla – the magic lies in the simplicity!)

Instructions:

Mash chickpeas with scallion greens, golden raisins, vegan mayo, curry powder, and lemon juice.

Roll the salad with lightly dressed spinach greens and tomatoes in a warm flour tortilla.

Optional: Heat the tortilla, or enjoy it as is for a no-cook convenience.

Sprinkle the remaining spinach salad with nutty sliced almonds for a light, bright vegan dinner ready in just 15 minutes.

As we stand at the threshold of 2024, I've dedicated time to curate 52 weeks of self-care suggestions that I'm feeling called to consistently share with my amazing community.

To start my routines I often use a reward system, or create a goal with a deadline that gives me something to celebrate on that deadline.

Sometimes its a simple goal and others its a bit more of a intense project goal to test my limits. Reguardless if I don't put it both in my phone and planner I'm not as likely to remember it.
