The fox is typically thought of as a night creature often said to have mystical or supernatural powers. They like to live on the edge of the forest and have a bit of a territorial sense to them. They are an animal that lives between the most magical of times as they are most often seen at dusk or dawn and can also be associated with the faerie realms.
